Direct Cremation

We offer a more personal direct cremation service, which is provided by your local family run funeral directors, based here in North Devon. You will be in contact locally with us, your funeral directors, and we will help a guide you through the process and keep you informed every step of the way.

For a variety of reasons, direct cremation may be appropriate for you. 

The 'Direct Cremation', this service will take place on a date and time we chose, with no mourners present and we will inform you after the service has taken place. A basic coffin will be provided, along with the staff required to complete the service, including being overseen by a funeral director and a suitable specialised funeral vehicle.

The cremation will take place at the North Devon Crematorium

A direct cremation does not suit everyone's requirements, please ensure you fully understand what is and isn't included in the direct cremation service.

This service is for those who wish to have a simple service, but want to be in attendance.

The service will take place at the North Devon Crematorium on a date to suit yourself, it will be a 15 minute service for close family, currently held at 9:00am (subject to change). 

Included in this service is completion of all paperwork, a basic coffin, a hearse, all required staff for the service, collection of the deceased from the North Devon District Hospital.

We can also offer a direct burial service, as we understand that some people wish to be buried, but don't want to have a traditional burial service. 

The direct burial will take place in the same manor as a direct cremation.
