L Clarke & Sons

L Clarke & Sons is located close to the centre of Braunton, in the Caen Shopping Precinct. It is important for us to be based within the community we serve and support, during some of the most challenging times.

L Clarke & Sons, was first opened by Lewis Clarke, he was joined by his two sons, Brian and Colin, who ran the business until their retirements. It was at this time the co-op took over the business for a brief time before selling in 2010 the business to local and experienced funeral director Roger Byrom. Roger grew up and has lived in the village most of his life, he had also worked for the co-op in Braunton for many years beforehand, so he has a deep understanding and knowledge of the community. Roger's son Chris also joined the team shortly after and became a full time member of the team in 2012. We are proud to be a local family owned funeral directors, with our roots set in this community.

Alongside Roger and Chris as funeral directors, you will also find Angela our funeral arranger, who is a valued and experienced member of the team and who has been with us for many years.
